Expansion project at airport hotel in Copenhagen

The expansion of Zleep Hotels’ popular airport hotel by Copenhagen Airport has now begun. By the end of 2017, the room capacity is expected to grow by 67 rooms, thus offering a total of 126 rooms. The hotel’s main building was renovated in 2015, and in 2016 the hotel’s large kitchen and restaurant was rebuilt to a further 11 rooms. Now, the old wing that was originally build as a motel with 46 rooms will be torn down and rebuilt from scratch. Thereby, the hotel’s room capacity is increased from 59 to 126 rooms.

Hotel with huge market potential

Zleep Hotel Copenhagen Airport is located a five-minute drive from Copenhagen Airport. The airport itself is very active and has a huge growth potential, which is reflected in Zleep Hotels’ airport hotel as well. Having an average occupancy rate of 90% throughout 2016, it seems obvious why the decision to invest in improved facilities was made.

“It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we get to expand our hotel again. And that we yet another time get to offer our guests new attractive rooms, which are in high demand,” says Susanna Lund, Hotel Manager at Zleep Hotel Copenhagen Airport.

Improved facilities

The outside of the hotel is also to be renewed. The hotel’s large parking lot will be resurfaced with new asphalt, and there will be added more free parking spots as the new building takes up less room. In addition, the hotel is getting an elevator installed to improve its accessibility. Also, a fitness room is established since many of guests appreciate the opportunity of being physically active, which the company has had a great success with at their airport hotel in Billund.

“We will continue being here for the many; it is the ideal airport hotel in Copenhagen for both business and leisure travelers, which is why we are also expanding the common areas at the hotel. For example, guests will soon be able to train while staying here, and the renewal of the lounge will make it an even better area to work and relax. In the future, our guests can look forward to being able to purchase delicious and convenient meals in the reception,” explains Susanna Lund, Hotel Manager at Zleep Hotel Copenhagen Airport.
